Welcome to the world Tanner Douglas.......
We welcomed Tanner Douglas Johnson into the world on Monday, October 20th at just after noon. He weighed in at 7 pounds on the nose, and measured 20 inches long. Tanner was scheduled to arrive about a week later, but he had other plans. He had a slight irregular heartbeat that gave us a bit of a scare, but after a few tests and some discussions with a cardiologist, they think that everything is within normal ranges. Mom, dad, Erin and Tanner are all now at home, and are all doing well.

Hilton Head Vacation Pics
Erin enjoys her first time at the ocean and on a real beach! Playing with all her cousins adds to the excitement. It was great to hang out at the beach with the whole Patton clan. The weather was absolutely perfect! Erin enjoyed the water and the waves. At first she didn't mind stepping into the water at all, but wasn't really sure about someone carrying her out further. During the later part of the week, she preferred being carried out by someone (usually daddy). Of course, making sand castles was probably the most enjoyable thing in her book.

Vacation Part 1 - Fly to Atlanta
We flew into Atlanta to stay with our friends Mark and Angie (and their dog Daisy). Had a nice couple of days with them. Mark and dad played tennis once, and then Markie took some fun, wonderful pictures of Erin. The extra heat and humidity certainly made those curls a little extra curly. Daisy wasn't quite sure what to make of Erin, but warmed up to her after a little while. After a couple of days in Atlanta, we headed east towards Hilton Head, and a week on the beach.

Svenskarnasdag Day - 2008
This means Swedish Heritage Day, but we always just referred to it as The Swedish Picnic...has been at Minnehaha Falls Park every summer as far back as I can remember. Attendance isn't quite what it used to be, but it's still a fun time, and you can still run into a Viking or two. We had some rain sneak in on us that we weren't totally prepared for as well, but we made due. Added a little extra excitement to the day.

#2 is on the way
In case you didn't know, we are expecting child #2, due the end of October. We don't know if it'll be a boy or a girl. Erin was telling everyone we were going to have a boy, and now she says it's going to be a girl and that her name will be Sally. Don't think that part will come true (no offense to anyone with the name Sally). She will be a great big sister. See if you can tell from some of these ultrasound photos.
